Involved in sales, sales                                                            management and marketing for                                                more than forty years, Bill began                                              his real estate career in 1978 in                                                Colorado Springs. During that time,                                          he has been involved in residential,                                          commercial and industrial real                                                estate brokerage, relocation                                                    management, project management                                          and real estate development.  In                                              1991, he joined the Shields Real                                              Estate Corporation as Executive VP                                          and General Manager.  He became a partner in 1993 and acquired full ownership of the Company in 1996 with his wife, Carol.

ERA Shields consistently ranks as one of the top residential brokerages in southern Colorado and in 2014 was ranked among the Top 10 Companies nationwide in the ERA Franchise System.  Bill has long been a proponent for real estate agent business planning and has successfully implemented the Agent Succession Plan within his office on several occasions.  He has spoken at a national level at several real estate conferences on this topic and received extensive media coverage, as well.  Bill's dream of sharing the Agent Succession Plan with other Brokerages across the country is a large part of eXaltPro's purpose.

Bill holds the Certified Real Estate Broker (CRB) designation, is a graduate of the Leadership Pikes Peak program, graduate of the Leadership At The Peak - Center for Creative Leadership, as well as attending numerous other professional and industry-related seminars and education courses.

Both ERA Shields and Bill have been recognized locally, regionally and nationally for professional accomplishments and civic involvement, including being a top ERA Franchise every year since affiliating in 2001, Top ERA Franchise for Community Service, Excellence in Customer Service - 2002, Best Family-Owned Small Business - 2005, Small Business Person of the Year - 2000 (Colorado Springs and also State of Colorado) and 2008 recipient of the Mary Lou Makepeace Award for Community Stewardship.

As the owner and CEO of ERA Shields Real Estate, the majority of Bill's time involves the operation of the business.  However, when not in the office, Bill enjoys traveling, playing golf and spending time with his wife of over fifty years, Carol and the rest of his family.  He has four children and seven grandchildren.

Theresa started in the Real

Estate industry in 1994,

working for a builder and 

developer in the Reno/Tahoe

area.  Since then, Theresa

has worked for a large,

independent real estate firm

and one of the largest real

estate franchises in the

world. During that time, she

has done extensive project

management, held positions

as Controller and Vice

President of Operations, as well as several Director

positions at a national level.

Theresa has experience in sales, brokerage and management, mortgage, new construction and overall residential sales operations and sales training.  She has worked with hundreds of companies across the country, assisting them with recruiting and retention, leadership training, agent productivity, financial and operational assessments, as well as transitioning new companies into a franchise model and leveraging that new relationship.

Theresa has written and delivered many training courses for Brokers and Agents and has spoken at a national level at International Business Conferences.  She also built an on-line recruiting and retention system to service hundreds of companies.  Theresa's diverse background of sales, marketing, accounting, technology and overall operations of real estate companies equips her to help companies on just about any level they need.

Theresa's servicing and business philosophy is "The customer isn't always right, but the customer is ALWAYS the customer!"  She is passionate about helping people at the absolute highest level possible, which is why she decided to open her own business doing exactly that.  Theresa is also extremely resourceful and doesn't accept the words, "it can't be done".

Theresa loves spending time with her husband, Scott, and their son, Ashton.  They enjoy camping, boating, skiing and almost anything outdoors.  She has also been spotted singing karaoke on occasion...
